Baby Teeth: Are They Really That Important?

Here at Lantzy Children’s Dentistry, we put a large emphasis on preventive and educational treatment. With Sparkles the Tooth Fairy dropping into our office here and there to educate our wonderful patients, your child will be excited to start brushing and flossing regularly!

According to the American Dental Association, baby teeth are VERY important in the overall oral health of your child. Primary teeth, also known as a baby teeth, serve a couple of purposes. They help them chew and speak, and also act as placeholders for adult teeth. What happens if a baby loses a tooth too early? Well, it can cause the adult tooth to float into the empty space, making it difficult for other adult teeth to find room.

What does this mean for you and your child? It means that as soon as their first tooth comes in, and no later than their first birthday, you should take them to a Dentist! Are you in the Roanoke, Texas area? Bring them on by Lantzy Children’s Dentistry!
