It can also help determine if a referral to an orthodontist is necessary and will kee our team aware of any changes in your child’s hard and soft tissues. With our advanced technology, your child is only exposed to a minuscule amount of radiation. In fact, dental radiographs represent a far smaller risk than an untreated dental problem.
We take x-rays of your child’s mouths so we can catch any dental issues we would miss with just our eyes in our exam. We are able to compare various x-rays of your child’s mouth over time to determine proper growth and to catch any abnormalities that need further treatment.
